Evaluation from Lobster999:
Hello! I am doing a language course right now for 5 weeks in the Escuela Montalbán and my Spanish is improving rapidly. Every day, I am going to speak with Spanish people in the every-day-life, I can understand them better and better. The teachers are friendly and specialised in teaching Spanish to the people. They encourage me to speak Spanish all the time and it works!!! Thanks for that.
Evaluation from david:
This school was an enormous dissapointment. The school is very small and overcrowded. 8 students packed into each tiny classroom. I attended one month in September and the school was overcrowded at that time. Several groups of students are forced to altnernate and attend afternoon classes because the school cannot accommodate all of the groups in the morning. It is very pricey (granted, it's Granada!) for what you get: I studied there 4 weeks and was not satisfied with the quality of instruction. I spoke with several other students who expressed a similar sentiment. I have studied at 5 Spanish schools of this type and if I were to rate them from 1 to 5 with 1 being the best, this school I'd give a 5. They don't provide a coffee, tea , or water for the price you pay. I will say the school manager, Margaret, is very, very nice. But I would not choose it again.
Evaluation from TheWanderer:
Great school. I learnt a lot in the 2 months I stayed there, in particular grammer and vocabulary. A bit more attention to conversation skills would of been good. Overall, it was very good.
Evaluation from boblinski27:
I attended in August, and remember that Granada will be HOT (40C) in summer, but there was no air conditioning in the school or in the home stay. I had to take sleeping pills just to sleep! The school is well- connected with the tourist industry in Granada, so I went on some pretty cool tours that revealed the Arab influence on the city. The teachers are alright, but the methodology is boring and out- of- date, using a drill- and- practice method that Canada abandoned in the 1980s. The school is a bit of a dump and needs renovation. The flooring had a lot of broken or loose tiles, and three of four computers didn't work. I did a home stay. The woman who had me and another student did a great job of meeting our basic needs (meals, laundry). However, she had no interest in sharing meals with us and conversing with us, which is one of her jobs. We always ate our meals alone, and only spoke to her in passing.

My friends suggested that I study here. I have had a wonderful experience and earned over 15 credit hours. Now I will recommend Escuela Montalbán to my friends.
