Spanish Imperative, Spanish Commands  

Spanish speaking people think about commands differently than English speaking people. A command is used to give an order, to tell someone to do something or to advise someone. While a native English speaking person would be more likely to say "Please come to visit.", a Spanish speaking person will use the command form (imperative mood) of the verb and "command" you to come to visit. Usually, there is NO negative connotation associated with using the command form.
