In Spanish the letter x sounds exactly like two letters "c" together: cc as in the word "access". The "x" is rarely used at the beginning of a word; the letters "cc" always go with the vowels "e, i", but they are never placed at the beginning of a word. Let's see a few examples:

     The exam is on Monday.
Yo practico boxeo.
     I practice boxing.
unos taxis.
     some taxis
sexo femenino
     female gender.
Prohibido el acoso sexual.
     Prohibited sexual harrasment.

cc
acceso a internet
     Internet access
Mi dirección es...
     My address is...
Ella aprende las lecciones.
     She learns the lessons.
