The verbs below require a when followed by an object (noun or pronoun).
asistir a - to attend
responder a - to respond
llegar a - to arrive at
Nosotros asistimos a unas tertulias.
We attend some gatherings.
¿Cómo puedo llegar a Madrid?
How do I get to Madrid?
Juan no asistió a la reunión.
Juan did not attend the meeting.
Luis respondió a todas las preguntas.
Luis responded to all the questions.
The verbs below require con when followed by an object (noun or pronoun).
quedarse con - to keep
soñar con - to dream of
contar con - to count on, to rely on
Aquí está. Quédese con el cambio.
Here you are. Keep the change.
Ella sueña con su novio.
She dreams about her boyfriend.
El contaba con 17 años y ella era un poco mayor.
He was 17 years old and she was a little bit older.
