  Cantar means to sing
   Cantar is a regular -ar verb.
    To say sang, use the preterite ending.

yo canté I sang
cantaste you sang
Ud./él/ella cantó you/he/she sang
nosotros/as cantamos we sang
vosotros/as cantasteis you all sang
Uds./ellos/ellas cantaron you all/they sang

Canté hasta quedarme afónico.
      I sang until I lost my voice.
Cantaste muy bien.
      You sang very well.
Ella cantó la canción una vez.
      She sang the song once.
Nosotros cantamos una canción buena en la
      discoteca.

     We sang a good song at the discotheque.
Vosotros cantasteis.
      You all sang.
Todos cantaron a la vez.
      All sang at the same time.
