Spanish Grammar Present Indicative Verb Dormir - to sleep
Overview

The verb dormir (conjugation) means "to sleep". The verb is irregular in the present tense. When conjugated, o changes to ue (with the exception of nosotros and vosotros).

yo duermo (I sleep)
duermes (you sleep)
Ud/él/ella duerme (you/he/she sleeps)
nosotros (as) dormimos (we sleep)
vosotros (as) dormís (you guys sleep)
Uds/ellos/ellas duermen (you all/they sleep)

Yo duermo con el gato.

I sleep with the cat.

duermes con el niño.

You sleep with the boy.

Él duerme en la casa.

He sleeps in the house.

Nosotros dormimos en el carro.

We sleep in the car.

Ellos y ellas duermen en el sofá.

They sleep on the couch.

No dormí bien toda la semana.

I didn't sleep well all week.
