The verb hacer (conjugation) means "to make" or "to do". The verb is irregular in the present tense. When conjugated, the cer changes to go in the (yo) form (first person singular).

Yo hago la tarea todos los días.
I do the homework every day.

Él hace la cama todos los días.
He makes the bed every day.

Tú haces el proyecto.
You are doing the project.

The verb hacer is also used in expressions involving time:

Hace quince minutos.
It's been fifteen minutes.

Hace una hora.
It's been one hour.

It is very common to talk about the weather using the verb hacer:

Hace calor.
It's hot (warm).

Hace fresco.
It's cool
